The Global One Health Academy is pleased to share its 2024-25 Annual Report, which highlights its work and accomplishments in One Health research, education, engagement, and community building during the last academic year.
The Global One Health Academy (GOHA) was launched in October 2022 with a mission to engage and support faculty, staff, and undergraduate and graduate students in improving the health of plants, animals, biodiversity, and human society in North Carolina and beyond. GOHA’s vision is to foster sustainable partnerships within and outside the university to maximize impact and position NC State as a global leader in One Health. GOHA leads and supports faculty- and trainee-driven One Health research, creates and cultivates One Health educational opportunities at undergraduate and graduate levels, and facilitates public engagement in One Health at local and global scales. Over the past two and a half years, GOHA has forged partnerships and supported research and learning by NC State faculty and students across North Carolina, the United States, and 19 other countries around the world.
This annual report catalogs GOHA’s activities and accomplishments throughout the 2024-25 academic year. The report is divided into six major sections:
