How can we start planning to make sure that all North Carolinians benefit? At the ReCONNECT to Technological Opportunity Forum, participants will explore what their communities can do to leverage high speed internet in an equitable way. The forum is organized by the Institute for Emerging Issues.

The keynote speaker will be be Dr. Thomas J. Tobin, co-author of Reach Everyone, Teach Everyone: Universal Design for Learning in Higher Education, our Fall 2019 Reading Circle selection. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions led by NC State faculty, and meet and talk with peers who are interested in teaching and learning.

Online Workshop – Academic Continuity: Helping Faculty to Continue Teaching During Emergencies
Academic continuity plans are essential for the seamless continuation of instruction during crisis scenarios involving a significant disruption in instruction. This Instructional Design Interest Group meeting is for support staff (Instructional Designers, Instructional Technologists, and others) as well as faculty, who want to know more about what the university is doing in regards to helping us to a possible transition to fully online.
