Ms. Mason is Co-founder and Artistic Director of Mason/Rhynes Productions.
She has performed with Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, toured Germany with the Repertory Dance Theatre of Utah, and performed for DanceAfrica America as a member of Umoja
She taught and performed in Poland with the Silesian Dance Theatre and with Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, where she worked for four seasons as Performer, Project Director, Artistic Director and Founder of Teen Exchange.
Her solo project, NO BOUNDARIES: Dancing the Visions of Contemporary Black Choreographers includes the work of Donald McKayle, Bebe Miller, David Rousseve, Andrea Woods, and Jawole Willa Jo Zollar. Most recently she worked with Ralph Lemon in "Come Home Charley Patton,” the final installment of his Geography trilogy.
She was selected as artist in residence for Texas Women’s University, University of Maryland-Baltimore County, University of Memphis, St. Mary’s Episcopal School, and Virginia Commonwealth University.
She received the Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award, the Arts Council of Montgomery County Artist Fellowship and was selected as Emerging Choreographer by the Bates Dance Festival.
