Presidential Visit on Wednesday September 14, 2011
To: NC State Faculty, Staff, and Students
We are pleased to announce that President Barack Obama will speak at NC State University on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. It is an honor for NC State to host a presidential visit and an exciting opportunity for our faculty, staff, and students. The President’s remarks will begin at 12:00 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum. Faculty and students are encouraged to attend this event, and although classes will not be cancelled on Wednesday, faculty are encouraged to allow excused absences, as appropriate, for students attending the event. Tickets are required and will be distributed to the campus on Tuesday. More details about the event in the Bulletin
To accommodate the President’s visit, bus routes, traffic and parking patterns will need to be altered; additional information will be forthcoming. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to carpool or use public transportation on Wednesday to minimize vehicular congestion.
